1. Explain the term 'service fabric' in Azure
Azure Service Fabric is a distributed systems platform that makes it easy to package, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable microservices and containers. It can create Service Fabric clusters anywhere, including Windows Server and Linux on premises and other public clouds, in addition to Azure.
2. Explain Availability Set
An availability set is a logical grouping of VMs that allows Azure to understand how the application is built to provide for redundancy and availability. We recommended that two or more VMs are created within an availability set to provide for a highly available application and to meet the 99.95% Azure SLA.
3. Name the types of web application which can be deployed with Azure
The web applications that can be deployed with Microsoft Azure Platform are ASP.Net, WCF and PHP. SDKs have been released by Microsoft for Ruby and Java so that applications written using these languages can access the Azure Service Platform API to the AppFabric Service.
4. Name the services which are used to manage resources in Azure
2- Azure resource manager is the azure tool for managing and deploying resources. It is used as a service for management tools such as access control, locks, and tags to manage and secure the resources once they are deployed.
5. Explain enterprise warehousing
An enterprise data warehouse (EDW) is a relational data warehouse containing a company's business data, including information about its customers. An EDW enables data analytics, which can inform actionable insights.
6. What are the important drawbacks of using Microsoft Azure?
- Lack of Hyper-V Snapshot Support.
- Inability to Upload Custom Images.
- Provisioning Virtual Machines in the Cloud Takes Longer than On-Premise.
- Lack of Integrated Backup.
- Poor Management GUI and Tools.
7. What is MOSS?
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) is a Microsoft software portal based on the ASP.NET framework. MOSS facilitates file sharing and collaboration, social networking, Web databases and Web publishing. It is hosted by Microsoft Windows Server and is accessible through Microsoft Office or the Web.

Azure Table storage is a cloud-based NoSQL datastore that can be used to store large amounts of structured, non-relational data. 15. What is profiling in Azure?
Profiling is nothing but a process of measuring the performance analysis of an application. Once the profiling wizard is run, it establishes the performance session and collects the sampling data, then generates report files that can be opened and analyzed in Visual Studio.
16. What is Windows Azure Scheduler?
Azure Scheduler is a cloud-based service that allows a user to schedule one time or ongoing system processes. It performs scheduled system actions such as posting message into storage queue, executing jobs in the cloud on a customizable recurring schedule.
