Bootstrap Glyphicons

What are Glyphicons?

Glyphicons are built-in icons in Bootstrap that enhance the user interface. These icons can be added to text, buttons, forms, toolbars, navigation bars, and other UI elements. 260 glyphicons from the Glyphicons Halflings set are available in Bootstrap.

Envelope glyphicon
Print glyphicon
Search glyphicon
Download glyphicon

Important Note: Glyphicons require Bootstrap 3 and are not available in Bootstrap 4 and later.

Glyphicon Syntax

To use a Glyphicon, add the .glyphicon class followed by the specific icon class:

<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-search"></span>

This code will display a search icon.

Glyphicon Example

<button class="btn btn-primary">
  <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-star"></span> Star Button
</button>

This button will display a star icon next to the text.
